DirectTV was out saying "couldn't communicate with satellite 775".

After a few days of being away and coming back to the same problem

DirectTV even has a button on their site to send a "Refresh Signal". What does that even mean? Though it's great they offer that automated system.

Tech said they would enroll me in their 'protection plan' in so I wouldn't have to pay the $100 service fee.

This experience has taken shitty service to a whole new level. Normally I'm inconvenienced without service X for a few days, then I have to stay home from work and wait for a tech to come and figure out the problem. This added a fee on top of it!
